Jenifer Westphal

Founder, CEO & Executive Producer at Wavelength Productions

Jenifer Westphal is a sought-after producer and executive producer for award-winning documentary and independent films, including KNOCK DOWN THE HOUSE and WON’T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR? Her films have played at Sundance, SXSW, DOC NYC, Hot Docs, Tribeca, Cannes, Venice, and more. In her role as CEO and Executive Producer of Wavelength, Jenifer breaks barriers by taking a special interest in fostering female talent, first-time filmmakers and creators of color, having executive produced NIGHT COMES ON, SELAH AND THE SPADES, and 2020 Sundance award-winner, FAREWELL AMOR. She produced all in-house productions at Wavelength, including UNSCHOOLED, THE FOURSOME, MAYBE NEXT YEAR, and LET ME BE ME. In addition to her tireless work supporting independent filmmakers and content creators, Jenifer most enjoys the partnerships built and friendships made since founding Wavelength in 2015.

A member of the Women of Sundance Leadership Council and Chicken & Egg Pictures, Jenifer has served as a panelist on the Sundance Catalyst Round Table. Outside of her work in film, she serves as an advisory board member and grantor for the Good Work Foundation, an organization with the mission to lead a digitally-empowered education model for rural Africa and the world. A native of Iowa, Jenifer has called Philadelphia her home for 30-plus years. A self-taught chef, Jenifer loves being a mom to 3 adult kids, spoiling her Shih Tzu’s, and can be found during the baseball season cheering for her beloved Phillies.
