James Carter, CFA has a diverse work experience that spans various roles in the finance industry. James started their career as a Graduate Analyst at the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) in 2016. James then moved on to work as an Associate Analyst at Moody's Investors Service in 2017. James joined Waverton Investment Management in 2018, where they initially served as a Portfolio & Credit Analyst. James later advanced to the position of Portfolio Manager | Associate Director, responsible for managing bespoke private client fixed income portfolios and co-managing the Waverton Sterling Bond Fund and Waverton Global Strategic Bond Fund, with a focus on investing across global bond markets.

James Carter, CFA holds a BSc Hons in Economics from the University of Exeter, which they earned from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their A-levels in Mathematics, Economics, English, and ICT at Anglo European School from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their degrees, James Carter has obtained the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from CFA UK in 2017 and is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) Charterholder, which they obtained in 2022 from the CFA Institute.
