Adam Rea

Adam Rea is a seasoned hardware engineer with expertise in low power, high bandwidth communications, currently serving as a Senior Principal Hardware Engineer at WaveWorks Technologies since March 2024. Previously, Adam held the position of Principal Embedded Hardware Systems Engineer at Pivotal Commware from February 2018 to December 2023, and served as a Research Engineer at the University of Washington/Caribou Digital, focusing on digital financial services for rural populations from September 2016 to December 2017. As CTO at elarm, Inc. from September 2013 to August 2016, Adam led the development of an IoT-based home security system, overseeing the design of circuit boards and firmware. Earlier experience includes work as a Hardware Engineer at Intel from 2003 to 2013 and a Research Engineer at the University of Washington from 2002 to 2003. Adam earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington between 1999 and 2002.
