Rikki Gilbey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the bodysurfing industry and sustainable practices. Currently, Gilbey serves as a contributor at Wild Golf since August 2023, while also being the Founder and Director of WAW Handplanes, a brand specializing in bodysurfing products made from Australian ocean plastics, since August 2014. Additionally, Gilbey co-founded The Bodysurfing Shop in November 2017 and coordinated the Australian Bodysurfing Classic, the largest surfing event in New South Wales. Previously, Gilbey worked as a Recycled Plastics Procurement Consultant at Plastic Collective from April 2021 to November 2022, focusing on supply chain management and customer needs assessment. Gilbey holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Geography from Cardiff University.
