Michelle Walsh is an accomplished professional with extensive experience at Wawa, Inc. since 2004. Currently serving as the Director of Store Design, Formats and Lifecycle Programs, Michelle oversees store design for new and remodeled locations while managing prototype development, interior layouts, and design finishes across the retail stores. Previously, Michelle held positions including Director of Retail Implementation and Director of Retail Concept Design, where leadership was provided for the Store of the Future Project. Additionally, Michelle managed the Fresh Channel Project, streamlining Wawa’s commissary operations. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Marketing and a BS in Food Marketing, both earned from Saint Joseph's University.

Wawa's namesake is a Native American word for the Canada Goose in flight, which is also incorporated into the company's logo. Wawa owns and operates convenience stores and gasoline stations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. These stores offer a fresh food selection under the Wawa brand including deli products, wraps, breakfast sandwiches, bakery products, fresh produce, and dairy products. The first Wawa store opened in April 1964 in Folsom, Pennsylvania.
