Theresa Burkhalter

Theresa Burkhalter, pHCLE, currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources at Waxahachie Independent School District since July 2024, having previously held the position of Director of Human Resources from June 2019 to June 2024. Burkhalter's extensive experience in education includes roles as Principal and Assistant Principal at Shackelford Elementary, Family & Consumer Sciences Instructor, and Instructional Technology Coach across various school districts. Notable contributions include serving on district committees, coordinating campus assessments, and leading technology training initiatives. Burkhalter holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education from Texas Woman's University.
