Roger Coan has extensive law enforcement experience, currently serving as Detective Sergeant of Investigations for the Town of Waxhaw since February 2005, focusing on felony case investigations, arrests, and court preparations. Prior to this role, Roger held several positions at the Monroe Police Department, including Assistant Chief, Captain over Investigations, and Detective Sergeant, where responsibilities included supervising daily operations and assisting detectives with case investigations from 1993 to 2005. Roger's earlier career includes roles as an Investigator and Special Investigator for Alcohol and Drugs within the same department, as well as serving as Lt. Jail Administrator at the Union County Sheriffs Office. Roger began their career as a Patrol Officer with Monroe Public Safety from 1977 to 1980. Roger graduated from Monroe High School in 1968.
