Jessica Waller is an experienced development professional with a diverse background in nonprofit and business sectors. Currently serving as Development Manager at Way to Grow since January 2024, Jessica supports families with young children in Minneapolis. Previously, Jessica co-founded Humble Nut Butter in June 2018, creating unique nut butter flavors. Jessica's role as Development Officer at the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts and Associate Development Officer at the University of Minnesota Foundation involved raising funds to support educational excellence. Additional experience includes positions at J. Murphy & Associates, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, Feeding America, and Arc Worldwide. Jessica holds a degree from Michigan State University, earned between 1998 and 2002.

Way to Grow
We know that by giving every child an equal opportunity to succeed in school and life, we will close the opportunity gap, especially among those students most in need. To do that, we must first begin with parents. Children must be born healthy and stay healthy, while parents become active participants in their child’s wellness and education. With our unique and proven model, we use home visits and center-based programming to work directly with society’s most isolated children and their families. We help parents create an atmosphere of learning by teaching them how to access and navigate the systems that impact school and health, leading to greater parent engagement and self-sufficiency which, in turn, helps children find long-term, sustainable success in school and life.
