Felipe Bittencourt began their work experience as an Civil Engineer at OEC from January 2005 to July 2006. Felipe then worked as a Local Consultant for the World Bank Group from January 2012 to December 2016, focusing on energy efficiency projects in cities. In 2013, Felipe became a Climate Change Consultant for UNDP, where they specialized in greenhouse gas emissions during the 2014 World Cup and helped implement a low-carbon strategy for the event. Starting from August 2006, they held the role of Business Director at WayCarbon and eventually became the CEO in January 2021. As CEO, Felipe leads a team of 170 professionals, focusing on sustainability and the transition to a low-carbon economy, including scalability of digital sustainability products, internationalization, and influencing large companies and governments on climate change and net-zero strategies. Felipe also worked as a Guest Professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais from January 2013 to December 2021.

Felipe Bittencourt has an extensive education history spanning several fields of study. Felipe obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology from Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg in 2003. Following this, they pursued a degree in Civil Engineering at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, where they completed an Engineer's degree from 2000 to 2005.

Felipe continued their education in the field of Climate Change, first earning a Master's degree from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais between 2006 and 2007. Felipe then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Climate Change, initially at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais from 2007 to 2011, and later at the University of Oxford from 2008 to 2009.

In 2012, Felipe decided to explore a different field and pursued a degree in History at Centro Universitário Claretiano, completing a Licenciatura from 2012 to 2016. Felipe also pursued post-graduate studies in the field of Environmental Law, obtaining a Pós-Graduação degree from Estácio between 2017 and 2018.

In 2018, Felipe engaged in further studies and completed a program in Marketing Estratégico at Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa.

Before their college journey, Felipe completed their secondary education at Colégio Marista Dom Silvério from 1987 to 1999.
