Richard Fountain

Richard Fountain is an experienced music educator and administrator, currently serving as Associate Dean and Professor of Piano at Wayland Baptist University since August 2008. In addition to this role, Fountain is the Principal Keyboard for both the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra and Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra. Fountain has held leadership positions within the Texas Music Teachers Association, including Delegate Director and Chair of the Commissioning Program, where responsibilities included organizing competitions and facilitating communication among music faculty. Fountain's early career included a Graduate Teaching Assistant position at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where teaching and accompanying were key responsibilities. Fountain's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University and advanced degrees in Piano Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, alongside a Bachelor of Music from Taylor University.
