Ashley Barnes

Ashley Barnes is an Associate Systems Engineer at Waymo since February 2021, previously serving as a Graduate Student and Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2019 to February 2021. In the role of Graduate Research Assistant, Ashley contributed to the Helicopter Operations Weather Information division by analyzing helicopter accident data from the National Transportation Safety Board using text-mining techniques and developing a wire strike simulator aimed at mitigating helicopter accidents. Prior experiences include positions as a Clerical Assistant at Princeton University, a Production Engineering Intern at Shiseido, and a Business Analyst Intern at Delta Global Services. Ashley holds a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University.
