Benjamin Sapp

Benjamin Sapp currently serves as Research Director at Waymo, specializing in machine learning research for behavior modeling, simulation, and planning since October 2018. Prior to Waymo, Benjamin Sapp held several positions at Zoox from February 2016 to October 2018, ultimately as TLM/Senior Staff Research Scientist in the Behavior Prediction team. Benjamin Sapp's experience also includes a tenure at Google as a Software Engineer focused on image and photo search technologies from December 2012 to February 2016. Benjamin Sapp's academic background encompasses a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master's degree from Stanford University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
