Dave Duff

Dave Duff is an accomplished mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the automotive and robotics industries. Currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Waymo since January 2018, Dave has focused on the development of self-driving cars. Prior to Waymo, Dave held a similar role at Google from March 2013 to December 2017 in the same field. Dave's expertise also includes significant contributions at Tesla Motors as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where innovations in battery pack technology were developed, and at Palo Alto Research Center as a Research Staff Member, specializing in modular robotics. Additionally, Dave has a background in design engineering at WET Design and system engineering at Lockheed-Martin. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Design Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University. Dave also demonstrated leadership as a volunteer board member and President of SkyLonda Mutual Water Company.
