George Ivanov

George Ivanov has extensive experience in public policy and government affairs, particularly in the field of autonomous vehicles. Since December 2016, George has served as the Head of International Policy and Government Affairs at Waymo, following roles as Head of Policy Development and Regulatory Initiatives and Manager of Policy Development within the same organization. Prior to Waymo, George worked at X: The Moonshot Factory as a Senior Analyst for the Google Self-Driving Car Project and spent time at Google focusing on public policy across various technology sectors. Earlier in the career, George managed technology initiatives at the Telecommunications Industry Association and conducted research on cybersecurity threats for the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Academically, George holds a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and has advanced degrees in International Science and Technology Policy and International Affairs from The George Washington University.
