J. Arturo Covarrubias is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead Manager at Waymo since May 2022, Covarrubias has previously held senior engineering roles at Cruise and Dashride. Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Nebulab Technologies, Covarrubias contributed to developing a cloud-based lab management system to enhance research efficiency. Educationally, Covarrubias holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from Texas A&M International University and a certification in Data Science from the University of Washington, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Nuevo Laredo Institute of Technology.
