Lai Wei is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the field of computer science. Currently employed at Waymo since August 2022, Lai contributes to the Waymo Compute Team. Previously, Lai served as a Senior Software Engineer at Pony.ai from October 2019 to August 2022, focusing on the development and maintenance of a system monitor for autonomous driving systems. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Rice University, where Lai developed an automated tool for diagnosing the performance of large-scale parallel applications.
