Lin Liu

Lin Liu is a Staff Hardware Engineer at Waymo, with extensive experience in optical design and product development for automotive camera lenses and optical systems since September 2017. Prior to Waymo, Lin served as a Senior Optical Engineer at CALIENT Technologies Inc. and worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where significant contributions included the design of a MEMS-based focal tunable objective lens module and developments in endoscopic imaging technologies. Lin holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Opto-Information Science & Technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
