Manasi Joshi

Manasi Joshi is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in machine learning and software engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for ML Infra at Waymo since November 2024, Joshi previously held the position of Director of Engineering at Apple AI/ML, focusing on on-device machine learning from August 2021 to October 2024. At Google, from January 2005 to August 2021, Joshi progressed through various roles, including Director of Software Engineering for Google Brain, where strategic initiatives were undertaken to enhance global engineering collaboration, facilitate partnerships with DeepMind, and drive ML research using TensorFlow and Jax. Joshi's technical expertise also includes leading critical projects in Display Ads privacy and serving, as well as involvement in developing internal tools. Educational qualifications include studies at the University of Minnesota and Savitribai Phule Pune University, alongside technical training at Pune Institute of Computer Technology and Fergusson College.
