Mark Calleija

Mark Calleija is a highly experienced engineering professional specializing in autonomous vehicle systems and robotics. Currently serving as a Staff Systems Engineer and Advanced Features Lead at Waymo since 2021, Mark has previously held the position of Systems Engineering Manager at Uber from 2018 to 2020, where responsibilities included leading engineering efforts for autonomous vehicle systems. Prior to that, Mark worked as a Senior Technical Officer at the Australian Centre for Robotics from 2008 to 2018, focusing on field robot engineering for various applications, including agriculture and defense. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UNSW.
