Michael Mui

Michael Mui is a seasoned engineer and advisor with extensive experience in machine learning and distributed systems. Currently serving as a Sr. Staff Engineer at Waymo, Michael focuses on developing multi-agent simulations to enhance the Waymo Driver's capabilities. In addition to this role, Michael provides strategic advice as an Advisor at Primary Venture Partners. Previous positions include a significant tenure at Uber as a Staff Software Engineer, where responsibilities included leading the Distributed Training team and developing scalable machine learning systems. Michael has also contributed to academia as a Guest Lecturer at UC Berkeley and an Adjunct Faculty at The New School, teaching advanced concepts in machine learning and optimization. Michael holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and has furthered education at Stanford University and Harvard Business School.
