Seth Karten is currently a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Princeton University and an NSF GRFP Fellow, focusing on multi-agent interaction and open-ended learning at scale. Previously, they worked as a Member of Technical Staff at Waymo and as a research assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where they specialized in multi-agent decision-making and emergent communication. Seth has also held applied scientist roles at Amazon and has contributed to several prestigious research labs, including the Cyber Physical Systems Laboratory at Rutgers University, where they developed algorithms for an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle. They earned a Master of Science in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rutgers University, graduating summa cum laude.
