Varun Madduri

Varun Madduri is an accomplished data science professional currently serving as the Director and Head of Product Data Science at Waymo since 2024. Previously, Varun held the position of Senior Director of Data Science for Marketplace & Growth at Instacart from 2022 to 2024, overseeing a range of strategic areas including logistics, shopper experience, and growth initiatives. From 2015 to 2022, Varun was the Director of Data Science for Rider at Lyft, where leadership included the development of rider offerings and optimizing the rider app. In earlier roles, Varun built Lyft's operations analytics team, provided data science consulting at Accenture, and engaged in product marketing at Synaptics and hardware engineering at Texas Instruments and Cypress Semiconductor. Varun holds a Master of Science in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and both a B.Tech and M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
