Vincent Casser

Staff Research Scientist

Vincent Casser is a Staff Research Scientist at Waymo since August 2019, focusing on the development of next-generation sensor simulation and leading projects on monocular/camera-based 3D perception, with expertise in multi-task learning, sensor fusion, occlusion resolution, and uncertainty reasoning. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Computational Perception & Cognition lab, where Vincent developed algorithms to replicate human visual memory and attention, as well as a Research Intern at Google Brain, where state-of-the-art methods for unsupervised learning from monocular video were created. Vincent also interned at KAUST, contributing to methods for autonomous robot navigation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Computational Science and Engineering from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Bonn.
