Ziping Liu

Ziping Liu is a Senior Perception Systems Engineer at Waymo since January 2022, with extensive experience in perception systems and engineering. Prior roles include Research Assistant at Purdue University Ray W. Herrick Laboratories, where work focused on automating unloading processes from row crop harvesters and developing simulation environments for validating automation algorithms. Ziping has also interned as a Simulation Engineer at Intuitive, contributed as a Teaching Assistant at Purdue University, and gained research experience at both the XYZT Lab and Shanghai Jiao Tong University Institute of Mechatronics. Ziping holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, as well as a BS and BE, also in Mechanical Engineering, from Purdue University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, respectively.
