Amr Abdel-Azim

Amr Abdel-Azim currently serves as the Senior Director of Design and Construction at Wayne State University, where responsibilities include developing strategic initiatives to enhance campus facilities. Prior to this role, Amr held the position of Interim Associate Vice President for Facilities Planning and Management, overseeing campus facilities management and driving sustainability and efficiency. Amr's extensive experience includes over 16 years at Michigan State University as an Architectural Planner, where management of design, construction, and project administration were key roles. Previous positions also include Senior Executive for Capital Projects at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Director of the Physical Plant Department at the American University of Sharjah, and Architect at Michigan State University and with renowned architect Hassan Fathy. Amr holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Cairo University.
