Angela Trepanier

Professor, Director Genetic Counseling Graduate Program at Wayne State University

Angela Trepanier has extensive experience in genetic counseling and academia, currently serving as a Board Member for the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) and slated to be President in 2024. Angela has been a Professor and Director of the Genetic Counseling Graduate Program at Wayne State University since August 2001. Previously, Angela was a Board Member for the National Society of Genetic Counselors from 2004 to 2009, holding the position of President in 2008. Angela's career began as a Genetic Counselor at Emory University from 1997 to 2001 and at the University of South Carolina from 1994 to 1997. Angela holds a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of Minnesota (1992-1994) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan (1984-1988).
