John Edwartowski

John Edwartowski currently serves as an Academic Advisor and Adjunct Faculty member at Wayne State University since September 2021. With extensive experience in music composition and education, Edwartowski has been actively involved as a Composer and Librettist for 'Cancer! The Musical' since 2005. Additionally, Edwartowski has taught piano performance and music theory privately since 1993, and held various instructional roles at institutions such as Washtenaw Community College and the University of Michigan. A former Musical Director for The Second City, Edwartowski has collaborated on numerous performances, sound designs, and educational projects. Edwartowski holds a Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of Michigan and multiple degrees from Wayne State University, including a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
