Kelly Young

Kelly Young currently serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, where responsibilities include overseeing academic and faculty affairs. In addition, Kelly has held various academic positions at Wayne State University, including Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies, as well as Director of Forensics, focusing on coaching nationally competitive speech and debate teams and teaching courses in argumentation, persuasion, and rhetoric. Previous roles include visiting instructor positions at Ball State University and John Carroll University, where Kelly taught various communication-related courses and contributed to debate coaching. Kelly holds a PhD in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from Wayne State University, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field from Ball State University.
