Ranae Hamama

Ranae Hamama serves as the Associate Director of the Transfer Student Success Center at Wayne State University since June 2015, overseeing daily operations and leading a team to enhance the transfer student experience. Previous roles at Wayne State include Academic Advisor III for the Public Health Undergraduate Program, where responsibilities encompassed advising 400 students and managing course planning, and Academic Advisor II in the Department of Economics, focusing on student guidance and orientation. Prior to Wayne State, Ranae worked as an Admissions Officer at Madonna University, evaluating transcripts and advising prospective students, and as a Refugee Educational Specialist/ESL Teacher at Samaritas, where curriculum development and teaching were key responsibilities. Ranae began a career in education as a 4th Grade Teacher at Universal Learning Academy. Ranae holds a Bachelor's Degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, both from Madonna University.
