Tyler Merklin

Tyler Merklin is an experienced lifeguard and swim instructor with a robust history in aquatic safety and education. Currently serving as a lifeguard at Wayne Township since June 2020, Tyler employs extensive lifeguarding knowledge to ensure the safety of a high volume of patrons at the James W Roe Memorial Pool. Additionally, Tyler has been a swim instructor at Pines Lake Association since June 2019, teaching over 20 children each summer while also fulfilling lifeguard duties on weekends. Previous experience includes a lifeguarding role with the Girl Scouts of the USA at Lake Rickabear, where Tyler demonstrated leadership by effectively organizing swim groups for skill development. Tyler is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at The College of New Jersey, expected to graduate in 2025.
