Joe Layne

Joe Layne has a diverse work experience in the education and real estate sectors. Joe currently holds the role of Principal at Wayne-Westland Community Schools since 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Assistant Principal at the same institution from 2019 to 2023. In addition, Joe has worked as a Licensed Real Estate Agent at National Realty Centers from 2021 to 2023 and as a Licensed Realtor at Keller Williams Realty, Inc. from 2020 to 2021. Joe'searlier experience includes positions such as Academic Engagement Officer and Instructional Specialist at River Rouge Public Schools from 2015 to 2019, and Principal, Vice Principal & Athletic Director, and Vice Principal Designate/Lead Teacher at Bradford Academy Middle School from 2007 to 2012. Joe also worked as a Summer Enrichment Coordinator at Colin Powell Academy in 2006.

Joe Layne attended Siena Heights University from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Teaching. From 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Elementary & Secondary Administration at Concorida University. Lastly, from 2015 to 2018, they studied Special Education and Teaching at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
