Cameron Hood

Cameron Hood is the current Director at wayOUT. Prior to this, they served as Newsletter Editor at CoinDesk from April 2021 to April 2022. Before that, they were Senior Editor at The Academic Times from June 2020 to April 2021, overseeing psychology and technology coverage with a team of six writers. Cameron has also worked as an O.K.'er (senior copy editor) at The New Yorker, alternating weeks between newyorker.com and the print magazine. They have also been a contributing writer at Latterly Magazine and a freelance writer at Pacific Standard Magazine. In addition, Cameron has experience as an editor, having worked at Horizon Client Access from October 2014 to May 2017, and as an Associate in Business Development at GRMA from May 2014 to October 2014. Finally, they have worked as a Financial Institutions Group Legal Assistant at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP from June 2012 to May 2014.

Cameron Hood graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations & Russian Language, Literature, and Culture. Cameron then attended Middlebury College and graduated from The Kathryn Wasserman Davis School of Russian.
