Robin Rowland, MA, CFRE, currently serves as the Vice President of Donor Relations, Communications & Education at Wayside Waifs since October 2014. Prior experience includes roles as Executive Director of Development at Avila University, Vice President of Development at the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, and Public Relations & Volunteer Coordinator at Center School District 58. Additional experience encompasses fundraising coordination at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, public relations coordination at Health Midwest Healthcare System, and community relations and development coordination at St. Francis Hospital and Health Services. Robin holds a Master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Fundraising from Avila University and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Northwest Missouri State University.

Wayside Waifs is a non-profit animal shelter in Kansas City, Missouri. Preparing pets and people for the bond of their lives. Wayside Waifs is Kansas City's largest, most comprehensive no kill pet adoption campus. For more than 75 years we have worked diligently to place homeless pets in responsible homes. Wayside Waifs also provides: pet adoption, animals rescue, behavior training and enrichment for shelter animals, shelter veterinary care, foster care, volunteer opportunities, off-leash dog park, onsite pet retail, and pet memorial services. Wayside Waifs also provides Humane Education programs for school age children, including a national violence prevention curriculum, No More Bullying! Wayside receives no government funding and relies 100% on public and private donations.
