Kevin M. Simon M.D., Mph

Kevin M. Simon, MD, MPH has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Kevin M. currently serves as a Board Member at Bridge Over Troubled Waters and as the Chief Behavioral Health Officer at the Boston Public Health Commission. Kevin M. is also an Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, where they previously held the position of Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry. Moreover, they have worked at Boston Children's Hospital as an Attending Psychiatrist and also completed fellowships in Addiction Medicine and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Additionally, Dr. Simon has experience as a Senior Consultant at Initium Health, as the Medical Director at Wayside Youth & Family Support Network, and operates their own private practice. Kevin M. is currently serving as a Commonwealth Fund Fellow at Harvard University in the field of Minority Health Policy. Prior to their current roles, they completed their Psychiatry Resident training at Morehouse School of Medicine.

Kevin M. Simon, MD, MPH has an extensive education history. Kevin M. obtained their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Policy from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2022. Prior to that, they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. During their medical studies, they also pursued additional training in Clinical Research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from 2013 to 2014.

Before pursuing a medical degree, Kevin earned their Bachelor's degree in Biology / Sociology from Morgan State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2008.

In addition to their education, Kevin has obtained several certifications. Kevin M. is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM), which they achieved in February 2022. Kevin M. is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, certified as a Buprenorphine Provider by the Drug Enforcement Administration since June 2018. Furthermore, they hold medical licenses from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and the Georgia Composite Medical Board, though the exact dates of obtaining these licenses are not provided.
