Brian Bechard Msc

Brian Bechard MSc, CISSP has extensive experience in information security and IT management. Brian is currently serving as the Director of Information Security at Wayspring, where they are responsible for building and developing information security efforts to ensure the privacy and security of client and member information. In addition, they serve as the Director of IT & Infrastructure at Wayspring, overseeing all hardware and software systems to support the organization's technological needs.

Prior to their current roles, Brian held the position of VP Information Systems and Technology at ALLIED MANAGED PROCESSES, LLC, where they managed IT operations, system infrastructure, data security, and compliance. Brian also served as the vCIO / Special Projects Manager at Core10, providing strategic planning, technical consulting, and staff management for multiple IT departments.

Before that, Brian served as the CIO at Avenue Bank (now Pinnacle Financial Partners), where they led and managed the IT team and implemented enterprise-wide information technology systems and infrastructure. Brian also worked as a Project Consultant / Project Manager at W Squared, where they designed and deployed network and IT security solutions for various industries.

Brian's work experience also includes the role of Senior Vice President, Enterprise Technology at First Horizon National (First Tennessee), where they managed a technical team and oversaw infrastructure, hardware, software, and IT support services for a regional banking company.

Brian Bechard, MSc, CISSP has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Rivier University. Brian also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Furthermore, they have a Pocket M.B.A. for the CIO from Boston University. In terms of certifications, they are a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) obtained from (ISC)² in May 2023. Brian also has an IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
