Ana-Maria Marcu

Ana-Maria Marcu is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Wayve since July 2022, focusing on vision-language models for autonomous driving. Previously, Ana-Maria held positions as a Machine Learning Engineer at Arup, where investigations on object detection model explainability were conducted, and as a Graduate Engineer specializing in machine learning for automatic tunnel inspection, developing computer vision models for crack detection in underground construction. Earlier experience includes an internship at ThirdEye Labs, where a person re-identification algorithm was developed, and a research internship at Dyson. Ana-Maria holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Cambridge and has engaged in further education at The Chinese Language Institute and Tsinghua University, alongside completing a Baccalaureate in Mathematics and Computer Science. Technical expertise includes Python, SQL, AWS, and familiarity with PyTorch and various programming languages.
