Jennifer Esch is an accomplished Autonomy Engineer at Wayve, contributing to both the Robotics Team and the Calibration & Offline Localisation Team. Previously, Jennifer held the role of Engineering Intern at Wayve, focusing on LiDAR-SLAM for Ground-Truth Generation. At BMW Group, Jennifer served as a BMW Fastlane Scholarship Holder, conducting research on machine learning for autonomous driving, culminating in a master's thesis on optimizing CNNs for 3D object detection using camera and LiDAR data. With comprehensive experience in developing SLAM algorithms for autonomous racing cars at Global Formula Racing and pre-development work for autonomous driving at ZF Group, Jennifer has a robust background in perception systems and sensor fusion methodologies. Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a second Master of Science in Integrated Machine Learning Systems from UCL, alongside a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
