Vincent Tao

Vincent Tao is the CEO and Founder of WAYZ, a leading online TV provider in China. Prior to WAYZ, Vincent was the CEO and Founding Partner of PPTV (PPLive) Corporation, where they led the company to become the leading online TV provider in China with 300 million active users per month and 200 million mobile app installations.

Before PPTV, Vincent was the Founder and CEO of GeoTango, which was acquired by Microsoft. Vincent also served as a Board Director at Leador Spatial Information Technology. Vincent has a strong background in technology and media, and has established partnerships with major players in both industries including Microsoft, China Telecom, CCTV, SMG, Hunan TV, FOX, SONY, NFL, Warner Bros, Lionsgate.

Vincent Tao has a PhD in Geospatial Information Engineering from the [University of Calgary. Vincent also has an MSc in Computer Vision and Remote Sensing from Wuhan University, and a BSc in Geospatial Engineering and Remote Sensing from Wuhan University. Vincent has also studied Geoinformatics at Tongji University and Geoinformation and Remote Sensing at Wuhan University.
