Luis Avendaño

Luis Avendaño has a diverse work experience in the field of IT security and cybersecurity. Luis is currently working as an IT Security Engineer at Wazuh, Inc. since November 2021. Before that, they worked at SISAP as a Cyber Security Engineer from January 2021 to November 2021, and also completed a Cybersecurity Specialization from March 2020 to December 2020. Prior to that, Luis worked at Laureate International Universities as a Quality Assurance Automation Practicum from October 2019 to March 2020.

Luis Avendaño attended the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras from 2013 to 2020, where they pursued a degree in Ingeniería informática. Luis then enrolled in IMF Smart Education in 2022 to pursue a master's degree in Seguridad informática y de sistemas, which they are currently pursuing.

In addition to their formal education, Luis has obtained several certifications in the field of information security. Luis became a CyberArk Certified Trustee in August 2021 and obtained certifications from Trend Micro, Kaspersky, Sophos, and CompTIA in 2021. These certifications include Cloud One - Workload Security, Certified Professional: Kaspersky Endpoint Security and Management, Sophos Central Endpoint and Server Engineer, Sophos Certified Engineer, and CompTIA Security+.

Luis has also acquired knowledge in various administrative roles related to cybersecurity products. Luis has received training in Apex Central for Administrators, Apex One for Administrators, Cloud App Security for Administrators, and Endpoint Encryption for Administrators from Trend Micro. The exact dates of when they obtained these certifications are not available.
