Tino de la Cruz

Senior Operations Research Analyst at WBB

Tino de la Cruz has extensive work experience in various roles related to operations research, analysis, and coordination. Tino began their career in 2003 as an Air Operations Officer at Commander Destroyer Squadron Thirty-One (COMDESRON 31), where they coordinated helicopter missions for carrier strike groups in the Arabian Gulf. Tino then served as an Operations Officer and Flight Instructor at HSL-40 from 2005 to 2006, followed by a role as the Detachment Officer-In-Charge at Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light Four Zero (HSL-40) from 2006 to 2008.

In 2008, de la Cruz worked as a Case Research Officer at the Office for the Administrative Review of the Detention of Enemy Combatants (OARDEC), where they reviewed and analyzed documents to determine threats posed by detainees at Guantanamo Bay. Tino also served as the Operations Officer/Department Head at Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light Four Two (HSL-42) from 2008 to 2009.

De la Cruz then pursued further education and became a Student of Operations Research at the Naval Postgraduate School from 2009 to 2011. Following this, they joined OPNAV N81 as an Operations Research Analyst, where they led cross-functional analytic teams and managed high-profile studies focused on military strategic and operational capability gaps. Tino also headed a study on naval base infrastructure vulnerabilities.

In 2014, de la Cruz worked as a Requirements/Action Officer at Cydecor, Inc., specifically focused on the LCS program. This was followed by a role as a Senior Operations Research Analyst at Whitney, Bradley & Brown (WBB) from 2015 onwards.

Most recently, de la Cruz joined Commander Naval Installations Command in 2018 as a CNIC Port Operations Program Analyst, providing analytical support in the field of port operations.

Tino de la Cruz completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University from 2001 to 2002. Later, from 2009 to 2011, Tino pursued a Master's degree in Operations Research at Naval Postgraduate School.
