David Wolter

David Wolter is a seasoned meteorologist currently serving as the Chief Meteorologist at WBKO Television since April 2023. With extensive experience in meteorology, David previously worked at Lilly Broadcasting in Erie, PA, where responsibilities included serving as the morning meteorologist for WICU/WSEE and developing precise forecasts for various weather events. David's skills encompass the effective use of WSI Max for graphics, engaging audiences through social media, and providing critical weather information during Hurricanes Matthew, Irma, and Maria. Additionally, David has held teaching positions as an adjunct professor at Allegheny College and Gannon University, focusing on meteorological topics, while also tutoring K-12 students in mathematics. David's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Geological and Earth Sciences with a focus on meteorology from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Mathematics from Roanoke College.
