Meagan McGinnes-Bessey, MBA, currently serves as the Assistant Managing Editor for Newsletters at WBUR, a position held since October 2018. With a diverse background in journalism, Meagan has previously worked as a Senior Reporter at NOSH / BevNET, a Contributing Reporter for the Society of Grownups, and held various roles at Boston.com, including Staff Writer and Editorial Assistant. Earlier experience includes co-editing Buzzsaw Magazine and reporting for the Ithacan, where Meagan also wrote a sustainability blog. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Ithaca College. Meagan has demonstrated leadership as the President of the Society of Professional Journalists’ collegiate chapter, which was recognized as Chapter of the Year.
