James Murphy

Video Editing Crew Chief at WBZ | CBS Boston

James Murphy began their work experience in 1999 as a Freelance Video Editor at NECN. In 2000, they also worked as an Avid Video Editor/Videographer at Fox Sports Net New England. In 2002, they joined WBZ | CBS Boston as the Video Editing Crew Chief. Their roles at WBZ included being an Avid Video Editor/Videographer/Live Truck Operator for newscasts, sports programming, and special projects, as well as being the Editor for the New England Patriots Pre/Post Game Show. During their time at WBZ, James was recognized with 3 New England Emmy Awards, 1 AP, and 1 Edward R. Murrow Award.

James Murphy attended Haverhill High School from 1992 to 1996. James then went on to study at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1996 to 2000, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies.
