Leslie Bourns

Leslie Bourns, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Financial Transformation at the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba, leading the Digital Modernization Program. Previously, Leslie held various roles at Palliser Furniture Ltd., culminating in the position of Corporate Controller, and contributed as a Facilitator for the Taxation Module at CPAWSB. Experience at MNP included serving as a Senior Accountant, where responsibilities included supervising audits and preparing financial statements under ASPE and IFRS, as well as producing corporate and personal tax returns. Early career experiences include grading for accounting courses at the University of Manitoba and holding positions in student leadership, including Vice President of Finance for the Commerce Students' Association. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba, is a Chartered Professional Accountant, and has a Project Management Certificate from RRC Polytech.
