Shareef Abul-Ela

Shareef Abul-Ela currently holds the position of Assistant News Director at WCNC Charlotte since February 2023. Prior to this role, Shareef served as VP and Head of LiveNOW from FOX at Fox Television Stations from August 2017 to October 2022, where responsibility included leading a national streaming news service focused on live and unfiltered news coverage. Shareef has held various leadership roles, including Assistant News Director at KTVU & KICU in the Bay Area, where strategic management of the news department and content oversight were key responsibilities. Earlier experiences include positions such as Assistant News Director at WVEC-TV, Director of Content & Coverage at WPXI-TV, Managing Editor at KTNV-TV, Chief Assignment Editor at KDKA-TV, Writer/Producer at WLVI-TV, and TV Radio Liaison at CBS Radio Network.
