Ir. Dr. Tony Chan

Ir. Dr. Tony Chan serves as Chief Executive Officer at WCT Berhad since October 2022, while also acting as an Industry Panel Advisor for the Civil Engineering Faculty at SEGi University & Colleges from September 2020. Previously, Tony held the position of Managing Director at Opus Consultants from May 2018 to October 2022 and served as Chief Operating Officer at UEM Edgenta. From January 2015 to May 2018, Tony was Group General Manager of Engineering & Technical at MMC Corporation Berhad, following a role as Country Head and Business Strategy at Atkins in Singapore from May 2012 to November 2014. Other notable experiences include managing water projects across Southeast Asia for Mott MacDonald and serving as a Technical Specialist for the World Bank & KfW in Egypt. Education includes a BEng and a PhD in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University, along with executive programs at INSEAD and Singapore Management University.
