Chrissy Funk has a diverse and extensive work experience in the media industry. Chrissy started their career as a Creative Services Coordinator at WTAE-TV in 2006 before moving on to become a Promotion Producer at WTEN-TV in 2007. Chrissy then joined KMGH-TV, where they held roles as a Promotion Producer and later as a Digital Media Producer from 2008 to 2011.

In 2011, they joined WJXT-TV Channel 4 as a Promotion Manager, where they led promotions campaigns and creative projects, as well as served as a quality control leader. Chrissy stayed with the company until 2015.

From 2015 to 2017, Chrissy worked as a Creative Services Director at WPTV NewsChannel 5 & WFLX FOX 29, where they managed a team and executed marketing initiatives for two stations. During their time there, they unified marketing strategies and developed promotional philosophies enhancing content relevance and brand impact.

In 2018, they joined WPEC as a Creative Services Director, responsible for managing a team and overseeing the entire creative process for CBS, CW, and Azteca. Chrissy made positive contributions by recruiting best-fit talent and developing marketing strategies.

Chrissy then moved on to Graham Media Group in 2020, where they held the role of Creative Services Director. Chrissy managed a team of creative professionals and led the production cycle for multi-channel advertising and marketing collateral. Chrissy developed creative concepts and ensured strategic alignment with business objectives.

Currently, Chrissy is working at WDBJ7 as a Creative Services Director since 2023.

Chrissy Funk attended the State University of New York at Plattsburgh from 2002 to 2006. During this period, they pursued a degree in Communications with a field of study in Mass Communication/Media Studies.
