Gena Ewald

Gena Ewald has over 18 years of experience in the media industry, currently serving as Office Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager, and Night Studio Supervisor at WDBJ7 since August 2005. In these roles, Gena has supervised a crew of seven and managed various responsibilities including directing, audio, graphics/Chyron, studio operations, and editing. Additionally, Gena has experience as an Associate Director, directing morning and primetime newscasts and operating graphics systems. Earlier in the career, Gena was a Production Assistant and gained foundational experience as a Cashier at Tech Bookstore from 2001 to 2005 and as an Intern at WTOB in 2004, where editing and hosting were key responsibilities. Gena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Virginia Tech.
