Julia Althoff has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Julia started their career in 1998, working in moderation for various companies and broadcasters, including VIVA, VIVA Plus, ARD, VOX, and Premiere, among others. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Editor in Chief for "eNtR berlin" at UFA GmbH. In 2014, they joined We Are Era as the Head of MESH Collective, and later held the same position at UFA GmbH from April 2014 to December 2018. Throughout their career, they have also been involved in various events and engagements such as the Charité Entrepreneurship Summit, IFA, Photokina, and many others.

Julia Althoff has a diverse education history. Between 1995 and 1999, they attended London Metropolitan University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (hons.) degree in Communications & Audio Visual Production. In 2007, they completed a Kompaktkurs in Videojournalismus at the RTL Journalistenschule, and in 2008, they pursued Weiterbildung in Dokumentarfilm at the Kölner Filmhaus. In 2010, Julia undertook Weiterbildung in Journalistisches Schreiben at the Heinrich-Böll Stiftung. Most recently, in 2014, they enrolled in Weiterbildung in Führen und Steuern im Projekt at Berufskolleg der Bertelsmann AG Gütersloh. The end years for the latter three educational experiences are not provided, suggesting they may still be pursuing or completed them in recent years.
