David DeStefano has extensive experience in the organ and tissue donation field. David started their career as the Manager of Recovery Services at Washington Regional Transplant Community, where they supervised daily activities and developed a comprehensive training program. David later became the Director of Recovery Services and achieved the highest donation and transplantation rates in the organization's history, receiving the Gold Medal of Honor from the US Department of Health & Human Services. After that, they served as the Director of Operations at Donate Life San Diego | Lifesharing, leading recovery and hospital services operations and spearheading a successful performance improvement initiative for lung donation. David then became the Executive Director of TransLife Organ and Tissue Donation Services before taking on their current role as President/CEO of We Are Sharing Hope SC.
